Imagine a brand presenting one pendant necklace in a small rigid box. The pendant should sit clearly at opening, the spare chain needs somewhere to go, and the customer should not have to pull on the jewelry to release it.
02 / THE PROPOSED DIRECTION
Explore a removable display insert.
A two-piece rigid box could hold a separate insert carrier with a contact layer, chain-routing slots and a lift tab. The visual proposes this arrangement; it does not establish the hidden chain path or the material specification.
A removable carrier may make access easier, while adding a part and an assembly step. If the necklace arrives in its own pouch or card, a simpler cavity may be the more useful route to review.
03 / DESIGN DECISIONS
Three details beyond the box.
The real necklace, its finish and the intended packing operation should drive the insert.
Chain & clasp
Give the spare chain a route.
Review chain length, clasp size, slot edges and the space behind the carrier. The chain should not depend on high tension to hold the pendant in the presentation position.
Sample check: load and remove the actual necklace, checking for pinching and snagging.Pendant & surface
Choose the contact layer by trial.
A soft-looking render does not establish compatibility. Review the lining, carrier and adhesive system with the actual jewelry finish and intended storage conditions.
Sample check: agree contact and appearance checks. No anti-tarnish or scratch-free claim is made here.Carrier & removal
Lift the insert, not the chain.
The illustrated tab proposes a way to reach the carrier. Its grip, attachment and clearance need checking, along with lid clearance over the highest part of the pendant.
Sample check: lift the loaded carrier and remove the necklace without pulling on the pendant.
04 / PROPOSED YDP SUPPORT
Develop the fit with YDP.
Proposed support for a project like this, subject to review of the real item and the requested scope.
01 / DEVELOPMENT
A retention direction.
Review product photos or samples, chain routing, contact areas and alternatives to a removable carrier.
Proposed output: an insert layout and questions to resolve.
02 / DEVELOPMENT
A sample to handle.
Prepare the agreed box and insert direction for loading, closure and removal checks.
Proposed output: a labelled sample version for physical review.
03 / DEVELOPMENT
An agreed specification.
Record the selected materials, dimensions, product variant and packing instructions after approval.
Proposed output: a reference for the approved configuration.
No physical checks or production outcomes are documented for this concept. Your team would approve the sample and specification before production.
YOUR PRODUCT, YOUR FIT
Start with the piece itself.
Send a product photo and tell us whether you are packing necklaces, rings or earrings. Add quantities and any known surface sensitivity; exact dimensions and finished artwork can follow. Other jewelry formats need their own fit review.
