FRAGRANCE PACKAGING / CONCEPT STUDY

Perfume Rigid Box & Insert

A single fragrance bottle, a lift-off reveal and an insert developed around the product. This example shows the decisions a real packaging brief would need to settle before a box could be approved.

01 / EXAMPLE BUYER BRIEF

Present one bottle as a gift.

The imagined buyer wants a calm, premium opening moment for a single fragrance bottle. The box should frame the product when the lid is removed and allow it to be taken out without an awkward grip.

Bottle dimensions, full weight and target quantity are deliberately left open; they must come from the actual product.

02 / PROPOSED STRUCTURE

Let the lid reveal the whole bottle.

A lift-off lid creates an unobstructed first view. The illustrated paperboard insert gives the bottle a defined position inside the base.

A drawer could create a different, sliding reveal, but would introduce tray travel and pull-out access to review. This page explores the two-piece route; it does not claim that either format has been sampled.

03 / CRITICAL UNKNOWN

Make the insert earn its place.

The bottle body, cap and any raised decoration determine where an insert may touch. Its cavity also needs room for a person to lift the bottle out.

An image cannot settle contact pressure, clearance, material grade or retention, so these remain physical sample questions rather than performance claims.

WHY THIS DIRECTION

Three choices to
make together.

The visual direction is a starting point. Each choice has a practical question that the product and sample must answer.

01 / OPENING

Lift-off lid

A separate lid gives the bottle a full reveal.

Confirm opening feel, lid depth and closing fit.
02 / HOLD

Shaped insert

The illustrated cavity centres the bottle in the base.

Confirm support points, cap clearance and removal.
03 / SURFACE

Quiet paper wrap

The olive finish keeps the structure visually restrained.

Approve the actual paper, colour and corner finish on a sample.
STRUCTURE & DETAIL

Open it. Look closer.

The generated views explain the intended relationship between box, bottle and insert. They cannot establish actual fit or manufacturing quality.

FROM CONCEPT TO SAMPLE

What would make
this reviewable?

These are proposed checks, not tests performed for the pictured concept. The scope should be agreed for the actual bottle and supply route.

  1. Measure the product.Overall dimensions including cap, filled weight and any surface that should not touch the insert.
  2. Try a structural sample.Place and remove the real bottle; review support, clearance, lid fit and the opening sequence.
  3. Approve appearance.Check the chosen paper, colour, printing and wrapped corners on a physical version.
  4. Define packing and transit scope.Agree who packs the bottle, the destination and which shipping checks, if any, are needed.
